Friendship and Innovation: DA’s Visit to Nelson Aviation in Quakertown, PA
· · 2 min read
Visiting a longtime friend and supporter often brings more than nostalgia. It sparks new energy and fresh ideas. DA recently had the pleasure of reconnecting with Nelson Aviation and their longtime trusted partner Cascade Aircraft Management, two companies that have stood by DA since its founding. The visit was a chance to catch up, and an opportunity to give back on a project that reflects a shared commitment to aviation.
A friendship built on support and shared vision
From the very beginning, Nelson Aviation played a crucial role in supporting DA. Their encouragement and belief in the vision behind the company helped shape its direction and fed the drive to make meaningful changes in the industry. The relationship goes beyond business. It is rooted in mutual respect, military service, and a shared passion for aviation.
Hands-on collaboration: installing Garmin avionics
The highlight of the visit was working alongside Brian at Nelson Aviation to move a Garmin avionics install forward. Installing avionics requires precision and expertise, and Garmin systems have earned their reputation for reliability. Working together, the two teams held the installation to the highest standard, which is the only standard either shop recognizes.
Returning the favor
Sometimes the best way to show appreciation is to show up with tools. The visit was a way to return a small favor to Nelson Aviation and Cascade Aircraft Management, acknowledging the support that helped launch and grow DA. Partnerships in aviation thrive on exactly this kind of mutual support.
Looking ahead
Both teams remain committed to pushing what is possible in avionics and aircraft management, and this visit was a step toward the next collaboration rather than a look back at the last one. To Nelson Aviation and Cascade Aircraft Management: thank you, and let’s get to work again soon.
